Data deletion instructions

Last updated: [date] · Version 1.0 · This page exists so that anyone, customer or not, can find out how to get their data removed.

1. Disconnect a platform yourself, in the app

This is the fastest route and you do not need to ask us.

  1. Sign in to Adspenta.
  2. Go to Settings, then Connections.
  3. Find the ad account you want to remove and choose Disconnect.
  4. Confirm.

Disconnecting revokes the access token with Meta or Google immediately. From that second, Adspenta cannot read anything further from that account, and our stored copy of the token is deleted.

The data already read from that account is deleted within 30 days, or immediately if you ask for that in step 2 below.

You can also revoke Adspenta's access from the platform's own side, in Meta Business Settings or in your Google account's third-party access settings. That has the same effect on our ability to read.

2. Request full deletion by email

To delete everything, including your login and your agency's account, send one email:

  • To: hello@adspenta.com
  • Subject: Data deletion request
  • In the message: the email address you sign in with, and your agency name. If you are asking on behalf of an advertiser whose account was managed through Adspenta, say which agency managed it and which ad account.

We confirm the request within 5 working days, check that it comes from someone entitled to make it, and complete the deletion within 30 days. You get a written confirmation when it is done.

You do not have to be a paying customer to make this request, and we do not ask you why.

3. What is deleted

  • All ad-account data read from Meta and Google: campaign structure, budgets, performance metrics, creative metadata, account state.
  • All findings, proposals, evidence and their history.
  • All generated reports and drafts.
  • Your organisation record, your users, their names, email addresses and sessions.
  • Platform access tokens, revoked with the platform and then deleted.
  • Copies held in backups, as those backups roll over, within 30 days.

4. What is retained, and why

Two things survive deletion, in anonymised form:

  • The append-only audit ledger. The record that an action happened stays: a proposal was raised, approved at a given second, executed, verified. Your organisation, users and account identifiers are removed or replaced by non-reversible identifiers. Nothing that identifies you, your clients or their campaigns stays behind.
  • The access log. The same treatment: the fact that an access occurred remains, stripped of who it belonged to.

The reason is straightforward. The ledger is what makes the system accountable. It is append-only precisely so that no one, including us, can go back and quietly change what it says happened. A ledger that could be erased on request would not be evidence of anything. Removing the identities while keeping the shape of the record is how both things stay true at once.

Billing records are also kept for as long as tax law requires, and then deleted.

5. If you are not our customer

If your agency used Adspenta to manage your ad account, your agency is the controller of that data and we process it on their instructions. Ask them first, because they can disconnect the account themselves in one click.

If you cannot reach them, or you would rather not, write to us at hello@adspenta.com anyway. We will pass the request on, tell you we have done so, and act on it ourselves where the law requires us to.
